Smoke Fairies: Let Me Know

Blood Speaks, the second album by Sussex duo Smoke Fairies is painted from the same musical palette as their 2010 debut Through Low Light And Trees. The folk harmonies and blues guitars remain but the colours are now just a little bolder and the overall musical image is in sharper focus. Take album opener and new single Let Me Know, where the rhythm is augmented by the on-beat drums which drive home the vocal hook. Such easy charm can be misleading, when without doubt it is hard earned with careful musical craftsmanship.

We spoke to Smoke Fairies in 2010 just after the release of their debut album. Check out the interview here.

But of course check out the video for Let Me Know, where the band all look like they have just stepped out of  The Rolling Stone’s Rock n Roll Circus. Love it!
